BHS WASHING DOGS

Recently, BJ's   Restaurant and Brewery at 515 W. Bay Area Boulevard in Webster, TX,   contacted us with a great idea for raising money for the building fund we've established   to help accomplish our goal of building an animal shelter as an alternative   to Animal Control in the Baytown area.

 They suggested we hold (with their sponsorship and help!) a Dog Wash/Car Wash   in the parking lot of their facility!  What a great idea, and what a   generous gesture on their part!!  The staff of BJ's got out there and   washed cars & dogs with us from 5:00 to 8:00.

 We met all sorts of nice people and their great dogs!!  It was a   wonderful chance to chat with people about their pets, answer questions and   tell them about what Baytown Humane Society is going to do in this   region.  People were extremely glad to hear about our work, and they   were generous with their donations.

 The 3-hour effort netted $350.50 and at the end BJ's pitched in $100 and all   the pizza & soft drink we could consume!!  What a fun and profitable   way to spend 3 short hours playing in the water!!

 Several of us have dined at the establishment since the event and the food is   truly delicious and the micro-brewery turns out all sorts of specialty   beer!!  Go by for lunch, dinner or just for after-work refreshment; and   tell them where you heard about them!  You won't be sorry!  It's a   great place!  Please remember to thank them for   their efforts on behalf of homeless animals.
